The win over Aberdeen this weekend might have settled things a bit at Celtic. Of course, it is far too early to get comfortable. It is still just one win in five games with Wilfried Nancy as manager. On top of that, one cannot overlook the fact that this match had looked headed for a draw until Kieran Tierney put the Hoops ahead in the 88th-minute.
So, this Celtic team is far from great. Some urgent signings need to be made in the upcoming January transfer window.
One of the areas in need of reinforcements as soon as possible is up front. Kyogo left last January and a replacement was not signed. The hopes were that it would be done in the summer, but it was not. Instead, the club also allowed Adam Idah to leave.
As a result, the depth up front is non-existent at the moment. Kelechi Iheanacho is the only one with any sort of top-level experience as a striker, and he has spent most of his time out injured since arriving as a free agent after the summer transfer window had closed with a last-minute move for Kasper Dolberg failing to materialise. The Hoops must improve their options there this winter.

As reported by Football Insider, Celtic have joined the race to sign Andrej Ilic ahead of January. The Union Berlin forward is on their radar going into the winter window.
Ilic is having an interesting season to say the least. Despite being a centre-forward, he has contributed mostly with his assists.
This season, he has one goal and eight assists to his name in 16 games. But he does know his way to the back of the net. In his previous 16 appearances for Union Berlin, he had scored 7 times.
